About Histogen
Redefining Regenerative Medicine

Histogen, Inc. is a regenerative medicine company developing solutions based on the products of newborn fibroblasts. Through Histogen's proprietary bioreactors that mimic the embryonic environment, newborn fibroblasts are encouraged to naturally produce the vital proteins and growth factors from which the company has developed its rich product portfolio.

Histogen's portfolio is made up of two product families, a solid human extracellular matrix and a liquid formulation, each with a breadth of applications from research tools to tissue regeneration, cosmeceuticals to hair regrowth.

Histogen is committed to the development of novel products that do not contain embryonic stem cells or animal components. The purpose and focus of the company is on the research, development, manufacturing and sales of products derived from the company's core technology.

History

Histogen, Inc. was founded in 2007 to develop products utilizing the proteins and growth factors produced by newborn fibroblasts, as well as continue vital research. Histogen is incorporated in the State of Delaware, with headquarters and research facility in San Diego, California.

Histogen founder Dr. Gail Naughton is a respected scientist with extensive experience in the field of tissue engineering. Naughton discovered the potential of proteins and growth factors produced by newborn fibroblasts for therapeutic and biomedical applications, and developed Histogen's unique technology process to create products based on these proteins. The technology is protected by two distinct patent families filed in the US and Europe.
